Meet the Founders, Joe and Toby Cohen
Our History
1981
Founders and brothers Joe and Toby Cohen immigrate to the U.S. from Syria.
1986
The Cohens purchase a bedding and bath store and expand it into six stores.
1987
The company officially becomes Textiles from Europe, a national import business.
1995
Private-label manufacturing becomes a large driving force for the business.
1996
Cloud Nine, the manufacturing arm of the business. opens offices in Shanghai, China.
2000
Company begins operating as Victoria Classics and moves to Edison, NJ.
2010
Located in the heart of NYC's Fashion District, Victoria Classics opens its 5th Ave. showroom.
2015
The company relocates to North Bergen, NJ. Inspired by NYC, the company rebrands as VCNY Home.
2015
VCNY Home opens offices in New Delhi, India.
2017
Selected as an editor favorite at Market Week by the HFN/Home Furnishings News Accolades Program.
2019
Awarded the 2019 Pride Award (Home and Seasonal Division Partner Recognition for Innovation, Dependability and Excellence) by Dollar General.
2020
VCNY Home signs eight licensed brands, including Tahari Home, Perry Ellis Portfolio, BEARPAW, Refinery29, Beverly Hills Polo Club, and more.
